Noida Traffic Police Receive Special Training to Reduce Road Accidents
In a collaborative effort, the Noida traffic police, Automotive Tire Manufacturers Association (ATMA), and Indian Tire Technical Advisory Committee (ITTAC) organized a specialized training session on tire care and safety. The session, held at the DCP Traffic Office in Sector 14-A, Noida, aimed to reduce accidents caused by tire-related issues.
ITTAC experts briefed traffic police personnel on technical aspects of tire safety and maintenance, enabling them to educate the public on best practices. The training focused on preventing or reducing tire-related accidents by addressing common misconceptions. Key topics included:
– Maintaining recommended tire pressure, as specified by vehicle manufacturers
– Checking tire pressure when tires are cold
– Recognizing the TDPI indicator for timely tire replacement
The session sparked engaging discussions between traffic police personnel and ITTAC experts, covering various technical aspects.
DCP Anil Kumar Yadav praised the initiative and announced plans for future events to raise awareness about tire care and safety among the public. ACP Rajiv Kumar Gupta emphasized road safety as a top priority, committing to involve the public and organizations in similar events. VK Misra, former ITTAC Chairman, expressed continued support for collaboration with Noida traffic police to reduce road accidents.
Over 50 traffic police personnel attended the training session, conducted by Vinay Vijayvergiya.
